Amine Khoury
Founder + President
Eastwood International School, Mansourieh
Eastwood College, Kafarshima
Amine M. Khoury is the founder and president of Eastwood Schools with its two campuses in Mansourieh and Kafarshima.
Amine M. Khoury holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the American University of Beirut. He also holds a Diploma in Theology and Philosophy from Cambridge University.His passion for empowering and educating children was at the core of what he envisioned in a school.
He founded Eastwood at the early age of nineteen with this vision in mind. Amine has directed the school with great fervor and inspired generations of learners to seek success.Amine actively gives back to the community and is an ecumenical persona.
He has served as the Chairman of the Board of World Vision Lebanon for over 20 years. He also sits on the Board of the Bible Society and has been the Chairman since 2004. -
Najib Y. Naimy
SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Najib Y. Naimy joined Eastwood College in 1997 as a Legal Affairs Manager after six years of experience in Legal services. He was granted his Master’s Degree in Law with “Honors” in 1992, recognized with the “Best Trainee Lawyer Award - 1995” under the patronage of the Lebanese Parliament’s Speaker, and certified as a TOT in Jordan, Tunis, and Egypt under the auspices of the European Council for Human Rights.
In 2004, Najib was assigned the leadership of the entire operation of the Kafarshima Campus for the management expertise he demonstrated as Assistant Director, the wisdom he practiced as the Student Affairs Executive, the guidance he presented as Social Studies Coordinator, and the proficiency he fulfilled as a Subject Teacher.
His achievements are due his ongoing focus on strategic solutions, quality assurance, professional development, proper communication, and conflict management while empowering staff members to grow and succeed.

Majida Harakeh
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR AND ACADEMIC COORDINATOR
Majida Harakeh joined Eastwood College in 1997 as an AUB graduate with a BS in Computer Science. In 2004, she got certified by Microsoft as MCSA and by CompTIA (A+/N+).
On her first decade of experience in the various educational services she presented, IT Teacher, IT Coordinator, Software Programmer, Yearbook Designer, SIS Manager, Majida was actively engaged in every area of the school, dynamically proposing and implementing advanced plans, efficiently offering ultimate solutions, and excessively performing beyond the call of duty.
Well recognized for her high level qualifications, broad academic knowledge, and distinguished administrative skills, Majida was empowered and appointed “Assistant Director” in 2007 to deploy her accredited educational, managerial, and IT potentials in making a difference at Eastwood College. In 2018, Majida led the IBDP authorization journey as a Program Coordinator, and she continues to chase growth and professionalism in all she does.

Maya Kourani
IB COORDINATOR
Maya Kourani holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Management from MUBS, a Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation from LIU, and a Diploma of High Studies in Arts and Archaeology from the Lebanese University.
Maya joined Eastwood College in 2013 as a high school English language and literature teacher, and joined the IBDP team in 2018 as an EE coordinator, a research skills teacher, and a history teacher. In 2021, Maya was appointed as English Coordinator (Grades 7 to 12) in addition to offering the IBDP Theory of Knowledge core course as well.
Throughout her loaded years at Eastwood College, Maya demonstrated professionalism and commitment, expertise and resilience, resourcefulness and patience, growth and ethics…
Maya’s journey is an exemplary reward to the highly qualified educator she is.
With the onset of the IBDP verification process in 2022, Maya earned the titles of the IBDP coordinator and the professional development trainer of Eastwood College Kafarshima staff.

Suzy Ghaith
EARLY YEARS COORDINATOR
Suzy Ghaith joined Eastwood College in 1995 with a degree in Computer Science. Her versatile character and love for teaching led her to pursue her BA in Education later in 2005. During her 28 years of experience, Suzy proved to be a flexible, resourceful, and creative teacher, especially when she worked closely with Learning Support students.
She believes that every child is unique and has their own learning style and pace, and she strives to create learning experiences that meet their individual needs. She also proved professionalism in guiding teachers while coordinating Math and Science for Cycle I class levels, and demonstrated high competence in conducting many workshops at SMEC-AUB.
Suzy, the Reggio Emilia certified educator, served as Early Years program coordinator over the last 10 years, where she showed deep understanding of how young children learn and grow. She is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive, and to seeking new and innovative ways to enhance the curriculum and improve outcomes for students, while targeting the highest standards of excellence.

Ghinwa Ghayad
ELEMENTARY COORDINATOR
Ghinwa Ghayad graduated from the Lebanese University with a bachelor degree in English Pedagogy. After six years of teaching and coordination in Lebanon, she joined Al Hekma International School in Bahrain for three years as an Academic Controller.
Back to Lebanon, she worked as the Preschool and Elementary Director of the European Lebanese School until she joined Eastwood College as the Senior Elementary Coordinator in September 2017. Ghinwa's leadership expertise, positive mindset, communication skills, open-mindedness, and creativity reflect positively on her team, encourage the learners to advance academically, ensure their growth at personal level, and contribute to the development of the community.

Layal Fakih
LEARNING SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Layal Fakih is a dynamic, enthusiastic, and competent individual with a lifelong passion for education. With over seventeen years of experience, Layal established a long and rich repertoire of skills in different areas while prioritizing her development path in the Learning Support Department.
Layal joined Eastwood College in 2012. After teaching for eight years, she was appointed as Learning Support Coordinator (K to 12) to lead and guide the teachers on implementing accommodations and differentiation in the classroom while conferring with members of the educational community and psycho educational therapists to help assist in meeting students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
Layal holds a BA in Education and a TD from the American University of Beirut. Pursuing professional development has always been an ultimate goal for her, so she continues to attend local and international workshops and webinars to remain up to date with the relevant pedagogy and current practices within the areas of learning support and special education.
