This program caters to students with mild learning difficulties. At Eastwood College, there is an underlying belief that each student has the right to be given a quality education.
We provide this to every student with special needs respecting each as a unique learner.
In a supportive environment, students with a disparate range of learning difficulties are able to avoid failure and develop a sense of pride and accomplishment in their achievements.
The Special Needs Department develops an Individualized Plan (IP) for each student, tailored to his or her educational, social, and emotional needs. Speech and psycho-motor therapists are available to screen students, on request from teachers or parents. Therapy sessions can be arranged during or after the school day for those students who would benefit from this type of support.
