Service Learning in Action – Eastwood College on LBC Television – January 27th at 2:00 pm.

Eastwood College Mansourieh and Kafarchima have taken on the case of an impoverished woman, Nawal, who is in dire need of medical attention and care. LBC International has chosen our school to adopt the case; students have been hard at work raising funds and home items to create a new home environment. Thanks to our students’ great efforts, Nawal has received brand new furnishings for her entire home, medical assistance, and meal provisions.

LBC has been tracking the students’ efforts all along. Watch the full episode on LBC television network, on Sunday January 27th at 2:00 p.m.

 

 

After School Study Hall - Mansourieh

After school study hall is offered at a fee to students from Grade 1 – 12 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Tutoring and help with homework completion is offered from 3:30 until 5:00 pm. Parents are responsible for students’ transportation. Contact the Guidance Counselor, Ms. Vartan, for sign-ups and information.

 

 

After School Activities

After school activities will begin on October 20th at the Mansourieh campus. Registration slips must be returne.

 

 

Parents’ Committee

Parents are an important part of the Eastwood community and are highly encouraged to join the Parents’ Committee. Those who are interested must please contact the administration and ask for more information regarding meeting schedules.

 

 

Influenza H1N1

The school has taken precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the flu. All children who show symptoms of illness will be sent home and required to bring a doctor’s report upon return to school.

Parents are not allowed to send sick children to school. All students must purchase hand sanitizers and use them frequently… read more

 

 

CITA Accreditation Readiness Visit – October 20th

Dr. Greg Muffet from the Commission of International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) spent one day at Eastwood College touring the campus, reviewing our documentation, and meeting students, teachers, and parents.

The purpose of his visit was to assess our readiness for accreditation.

He reported to us that Eastwood will be ready to begin the Self-Study and may host the Visiting Team before the end of the current academic year… read more
